Daisuke is forced to keep his family's secret and control his alter ego, Dark as the story go on we find are slef being intrdoes to one of Daisuke classmate named Satoshi Hiwatari Hiwatari suffers from his own version of the phantom-thief curse, and a bond forms between Hiwatari and Daisuke because of their similar afflictions. Hiwatari carries the alter-ego named Krad. who is not like Dark at all really we find out Krad is more evil and do anything to get what he want's However, though Dark and Krad hate one another, Hiwatari and Daisuke maintain a strained but genuine friendship. what can i really say about this show. i really do like this show it is on my top anime list but what can i say but this my one problem i do have with all most every short anime show that it was to short for me i think with every thinking going on in the show they could have hold it out much longer to make the ending feel more awesome for me how it end it was awesome but i thinking Dark and Daisuke need to go a few more thinking be for reach the ending it did but still in all it was a very good show . Daisuke he the story hero but when we first meet him he very awkward . and i think most people can really see them self in him. A very important part of the plot is the triangle romance between our protagonist, Niwa Daisuke and the Harada identical twin sisters, Risa and Riku. At first, Niwa has a crush on Risa (the prettier of the two sisters) but as the anime progresses, we see a change in Daisuke's heart. And its rather very interesting how the change comes about. The romance is such an integral part because in essence, that is what brings out Dark from Daisuke - his love for Risa. To understand exactly what that is about would be giving away too much. You should watch the anime.
Characters
Daisuke Niwaafter Daisuk turning 14 and try to confessing his love to, his crush Risa Harada, discovers that an entity called Dark lives within him. Afterwards he transforms into Dark whenever he experiences feelings of love or intimacy with the girl he loves, but Dark can choose not to come out if he so wants. Initially this is Risa Harada, but after she rejects him, Daisuke finds himself falling in love with her twin sister, Riku Harada, who does return his feelings after realizing how kind-hearted and gentle he was. Perceptive, athletic, and artistic, Daisuke is also skilled in dodging traps, picking locks, and other thieving-type activities, due to the daily life-threatening trials his family has him undergo when he gets up in the morning and returns from school in the afternoons.
Dark Mousy
Dark is Daisuk alter-ego, and so that go with out saying that dark come out any time Daisuk around the person he loves or thinks about them a great deal, but really as the show go's on you can see Their relationship is often that of older/younger brothers. Dark can also appear to be arrogant and something of a playboy, flirting shamelessly with girls. Dark is a notorious flirt, but there are very few he truly cares, and he very loyal and stand for what right .he said that he is willing to kiss anyone since it is like a greeting to him rather than something meaningful. After Dark's reappearance, Daisuke's crush, Risa Harada, falls in love with him and begins to pursue him. He initially flirts with her, seemingly to annoy Daisuke, and goes on several dates with her. However, as the series progresses, Dark seems to develop feelings for Risa, particularly after she sincerely answers when he asks what she would do if he were a monster. She replies that she would still love him, and Daisuke says that he feels Dark's feelings for her, that maybe he's falling in love with her. When she is taken by Argentine, Dark is furious and vows to show no mercy. by the end it look like he finally understood that Risa is his True Holy Maiden.
Satoshi Hikari
Satoshi Hikari is the police commander in charge of capturing Dark. Extremely intelligent, Satoshi graduated from high school at the age of eight, and obtained a college degree at the age of 13. He enrolled in Daisuke's middle school in order to be closer to Daisuke, whom he knew was Dark's alter ego. Calm and composed, he often pays little mind to those around him and rarely shows his emotions causing others to find him distant and cold. Daisuke seems unaffected by his distant nature, and insists on becoming his friend. Reluctant at first, Satoshi comes to accept Daisuke's friendship, though later withdraws from school to try to distance himself from Daisuke again out of fear. we also find out that Satosh also has a alter-ego name Krad. Unlike Dark, Krad is homicidal and cares nothing for Satoshi.
Krad
Krad is an entity similar to Dark by being a alter-ego I mean but in many ways he is the opposite of dark.having blond hair, wearing white attire, and always speaking very politely using an extremely formal speech pattern. but most of all Dark has a kind and sweet heart Krad is just out for him slef he care nothing for Hiwatari, all card dare about is more power and beating dark waht every the cost .Krad is Dark's and, by extension, Daisuke's worst enemy, repeatedly attempting to kill them both. Though Krad refers to Hiwatari as Master Satoshi and as "his everything", he shows little regard for Hiwatari's wishes and well-being.
Riku and Risa Harada's
Risa is Daisuke friend and crush At the start of the series, but after she see Daisuke's alter ego Dark, she falls in love with the thief and believes that he is the mysterious person she is destined to be with. Innocent, spoiled, and depicted as "girly-girl", Risa is often seen as the opposite of her twin sister Riku, though both show the same stubbornness and tenacity, particularly when it comes to people they care about. She is initially confused with Riku and Daisuke falling in love, and so she becomes jealous, but realizes that she was more afraid of losing her sister and her friend than wanting Daisuke for herself, and becomes supportive of their relationship.Wanting to be with Dark, Risa begins taking great risks to try to see him during his thieving adventures. Dark initially accepts her affections, then rejects her when he realizes she truly loves him. However, Risa refuses to give him up and after noting that she has "become a lady" he agrees to go on a date with her. During the date, she is kidnapped by Argentine who takes her to his world and demands that she, as Dark's "maiden", help him become more like Dark. Risa's attitude and childish behavior dies down a bit, though she retains her girly natureRiku is Risa Harada's twin sister, and a friend of Daisuke Niwa. Athletic and intelligent, Riku is depicted as a tomboy, who is more serious, and down-to-earth than her sister. Though more outspoken than Risa, Riku can be shy and Risa notes that her sister doesn't realize just how popular she is. Though the girls are different in personality, Riku is protective of her sister and they share a tight bond. When Risa is kidnapped by the Argentine, Riku falls into a coma.Though Riku initially appears to only see Daisuke as a friend, its soon revealed that she harbors romantic feelings for him, though he initially can only see Risa. After her sister rejects him, Riku begins to see him less as clumsy and unreliable, coming to see his strengths and admitting to the feelings she herself had been denying. While trying to sort out her feelings, she remembers that they had met as children when he'd helped her retrieve her precious teddy bear from over a fence one night. Eventually she admits her feelings, but initially is disbelieving when Daisuke tells her he feels the same. Realizing he is speaking the truth, they become a couple.Riku intensely dislikes Dark, feeling he is nothing but a thief and a playboy, however when Risa is in danger and he promises he will bring her back, she begins to soften her stance towards him. She also sometimes compares him to Daisuke, though she does not yet know that Daisuke is Dark.In the anime adaptation, Riku is more uncertain of her relationship with Daisuke, temporarily hating that he calls both her and Risa "Harada-san" and acting jealous towards Niwa. She thought Dark stole her first kiss but It was actually Daisuke. When Dark was going to kiss Riku, Dark turned back to Daisuke. At the end of the anime, Riku is the only person not in the Niwa or Hikari/Hiwatari family to know that Daisuke is Dark. With s the family pet of the Niwa family and Dark Mousy's familiar Wiz can sense when Dark is calling him, no matter how much distance is between them and is capable of transforming into both Daisuke and Dark. Character development is a integral part of D.N.Angel as the relationship between Risa, Riku and Daisuke is the overall focal point of the anime. Satoshi Hiwatari is Daisuke's rival in a sense, however, as Daisuke embraces his counterpart in Dark, Satoshi is seen to reject his. The Niwa and Hikari families have been battling each other for centuries over these artworks and Satoshi is adamant in capturing Dark without his counterpart. Its interesting to watch his relationship with Krad throughout the series.
The animation is actually quite interesting. There are a few scenes in some of the episodes which you'll believe *have* to be computer animated, but amazingly enough, it isn't. In addition, the quality of the animation is crisp, clean and smooth and is up to today's standards, given that the anime is a few years old.
The music to D.N.Angel is very good, however, it does fall short of being exceptional. There are many scores that you will find enjoyable, but some of them just sound too much of the same. The introductory song is fantastic (True Light), however, it is sung in the same pitch of voice, and if you're a big music person who understands that, it may or may not get on your nerves a little. me my self I find it to be a very beautiful song and fits the story line so will in fact .
Alright, pertaining to the English Dub, all I’m going to say is this sorry but what up with all the
pitchy voice acting in this anime. not to mention a few bad dubbing matches. A lot of the choices for major characters had a very hard time playing young teens, when you really hope for a little maturity in their voices. Prime examples, Kevin Corn as Daisuke and Luci Christian as Risa. Then there’s the “I’m the most mature and serious character, but my voice doesn’t make you take me seriously”; such as the case of Greg Ayres’s as Satoshi, who does make it work for him later on. Here’s the thing in all of this, D.N.Angel is more along the lines of after-school-special, so, in some circles, this kind of acting can be explained. And, eventually, the actors make due and it turns into a decent performance on all parts. Still doesn’t give it the best excuse in the world, but that’s all I got. Some other known voice actors for D.N.Angel include: Illich Guardiola as Krad who did fair on his part ,we also got Hilary Haag as Riku Harada, John Swasey as Daiki Niwa.
Now, since this month is all about good old Vic, it’s time to see where his performance stands in the anime. According to sources, his role as Dark Mousy is among one of his most well know voice acting roles (Along side Ed Elric and Tamaki), however, it’s not quite one of his best. He’s certainly is the best voice actor in the series and fits the role really well from start to finish. It’s just one of those things, like with Johnny Young Bosch with Ichigo from Bleach, I just hear Ed Elric in my ear the entire time. Don’t get me wrong, he’s not terrible, he could probably have done better though. If I have to grade his performance, I would give it a solid B because of the confidence and guile that was put into this role. In some circles, I believe D.N.Angel was just a prequel into what would soon become Vic’s real breakout role from Full Metal Alchemist.
At the end of it all, D.N.Angel isn’t exactly the most well planned anime. From the animation to the voice acting, a lot of better choices could have been made to make the series even better! But it did give viewers the chance to look at the soon-to-be highly demanded voice actor, Vic Mignogna; and the budding romance between Daisuke and Riku was a fun one to watch. But, other than that, it’s an after-school-special and not very much of a stand out anime and can be completely forgettable. If you’re into cute romances and handsome thieves, then check it out. Be warned though. in all there nothing really with D.N Angle it just a cute funny story with a few high Picky acting here and there but in all in not a bad show I did really enjoy and with anime i would ever should time to watch different anime once in there life to see if they liked or not .
If you enjoy D.N Angle you would also may like .
